NEEDED for my MIL. She has EVERYTHING. I mean EVERYTHING.
She loves: reading, books, ipad, kindle, wine (belongs to wine club)
She really likes practical gifts. Finds a lot of things useless, etc
She has a 4 yr old son
I feel like we ALWAYS get her gift cards for amazon, kindle, ipad, etc, We already got her a leather case for her ipad for bday
Need some ideas please!!
Thanks girls!
Re: Practical gift ideas...
Your MIL sounds like my MIL. Has everything she wants. Big wine drinker, belongs in a wine club...haha.
I got her an electric wine opener last Christmas and at first she was confused and didn't say much, until after she used it couple days later. Now she raves about it all the time that I had to get myself one. I ended up buying one for her sister (who always give us gifts) and she told us that it'd be the best gift she'd get out of all of us.
What about an experience gift: theater tickets, museum membership, etc.
Magazine subscription? Sap gift certificate? A night's stay at a nice B&B (bonus if it's near a winery)?
My MIL can't get enough Kindle gift cards... so even though you feel like you always get those, think of it like another new book for her to pick out.
I know you said you bought her a leather case for her iPad, but I just picked up a cool Brookstone stand for DH for his iPad and he loves it. I don't know how your MIL uses hers, but its great for him to set up and read while he's at lunch, he can set it up to cook with videos... etc.

Thanks ladies these are all excellent ideas!!
My MIL is a wine lover too! Belongs to tons of wine clubs (even across the country!) and she's got everything! A couple of years ago we got her tickets to a wine festival - she loved it!!! It was driving distance and her and my FIL were able to make a weekend trip out of it. Maybe something like that?
