Re: PG/Mom Check-In
I have my 16 week appt. on Thursday - a few days early because we are leaving for DR on Saturday. But before we go, we are doing our sneak peak on Friday and finding out if baby is a HE or a SHE. Can't wait.
Also, I am wearing a belly band today, lol. I can't really fit into my work pants comfortably anymore. They are just a little too tight because they hit me right at that lower belly part that is now sticking out.
If you ladies happen to be out shopping, would you take a look for me to see if shorts, capris & flip flops are easier to come by down there? And where you saw them? Thanks! I'll be in the area the 20th-25th.
Chloe is great! She has nasal congestion, but the pedi says that's normal. She spits up a bit, so we switched her to Similac Soy. She still spits up, but not as much.
She's starting to give smiles which seriously melts my heart!
I seem to be huge already. I've had several people call me out and make comments about it, so we're going public this week. I'm just past 6 weeks now, and I look like I did when I was 14 weeks pregnant with Kennedy. In fact, I'm already wearing maternity clothes. Morning sickness isn't as bad this time around (yet). We're on vacation in the land of chilly people and H and I both managed to get sinus infections within days of being here. I remember why I hated living in this state.
Kennedy is doing wonderful. She's such a sweet little go with the flow baby. She's handled all this traveling like a champ. Last night she said "mom mom" and lifted her arms up and when I picked her up she was snuggling me and giving me kisses. Sweetest. Thing. Ever. She's also eating just about everything. Refusing baby food but devouring pancakes, toast, bananas, ravioli, meatballs, eggs.....

Doing good here, anxiously awaiting next Tuesday for my 12 week appt. If all goes well there we will probably come out to everyone over Xmas. All of our immediate family knows and some close friends but there are still alot of people that don't know.
I have been having alot of sciatic pain which sucks because I know its only going to get worse. By the end of the day it hurts just to stand up. I have been using the heating pad every night and sleeping with a pillow between my legs.
My mom already started planning our shower. I think we are going to do a couple shower since it will be where we both grew up and H wants to be able to see his friends/family too. So i think it will work out good and be a lot of fun!
Zoe is smiling and showing off her 2 little teeth all the time. I love it!
She has mastered pulling herself up and down like a champ! She waves at everything now. It cracks me up!
She loves trying new food but things are pretty slow on the solids front. We are just now getting up to 2 meals a day. We are just going with the flow and hopefully she will be good to go by her first birthday. I pump at night before I go to bed and I'm hoping to cut that out in the next month, and only pump once at work instead of twice. I have enough milk frozen so she should be good even past her first birthday if I were to stop BFing entirely now.
Things are good here. Baby moves all the time, which I love. My feet have started swelling which I do not love. Other than that, not much new to report, really. I'll be 25 weeks tomorrow and I have my next appointment next Monday.
I did hear my sister has started the ball rolling on planning a shower for me, which is very nice! It would be in FL in January, so here's hoping the weather cooperates that weekend and I can fly!

I was at a Pea in the Pod last Friday and they had a ton of shorts and capris. The only problem is a Pea in the Pod is so effing expensive :

Thanks for posting this! I am almost 12 weeks pregnant and have been in maternity clothes since week 10. Glad to know I am not the only one who is showing early

I can't believe how big I am. This past Friday I was trying on clothes at a maternity store and the sales lady asked me if I knew what I was having yet. When I told her I was only 11 weeks her eyes just about popped out of her head. She swore I was at least 20 weeks :
This Thursday I have an US scheduled which I am getting anxious for. I just want to see the baby and know everything is going ok.

Not much here. Everybody already knows from my post earlier in the week that the c section is scheduled for the 27th. I'm nervous about the surgery and about the babys health and why the heck she's so high and won't budge. I'm oddly not that nervous about her arrival, for that I'm just so excited and ready, I seriously can't wait to hold her and talk to her. OK I'm a little nervous about the sponge baths.
In the meantime I have a pre op appt, a lab work appt, and 2 cervix checks scheduled. Also my favorite person in the world, my neice, is having surgery on her kidney on the 15th at All Childrens
And then there's Christmas and getting ready for that. So the next 15 days will be very busy and should go by fast. As soon as neice is released from the hospital. That time is going to suck.
Well some of the stuff can be reasonably priced but some of the stuff not so much, LOL. I decided to spring for one pair of $200 jeans. I would never normally spend that much money on a pair of jeans but all the other jeans/pants I have from Target or Motherhood never stayed up. I remembered how much I hated my pants when I tried to wear them this pregnancy. So for me, having one pair of overpriced jeans is worth it.

Oh, and their sizes do run true to size for the most part

We just got back from our 9mo check-up. It was a total disaster. Lila decided 2 weeks ago that she would become deathly afraid of men. Unfortunately for me, her Pedi is a man. [:/] She started screaming the second that he looked at her, through the nurse giving the finger prick and didn't stop until the second that we walked out the office door. She passed out right as I was pulling out of the parking lot. I am not looking forward to future appointments though, her Pedi said it will only get worse. I don't know if that is even possible, she tried to claw my eyes out and rip the skin off of my face and shoulders to get away from him.

Gigantic here too. I've been asked if we know what we're having yet and when I told them I was only 5-6 weeks it was like sheer horror across their face. My friend is convinced it's twins. However, apparently they weren't lying when they say you show sooner with #2, and it seems that the closer together you get pregnant the earlier you show. H's co-worker thought I was at least 6 months the other day.
Is that the key to having pants that stay up? Spend $200?!?!?!?! Seriously all of my freaking maternity pants fall down. I feel like an idiot when I'm constantly pulling up my pants. It doesn't matter how small I buy them or how big I am, they ALWAYS fall down.
I would like to see pics of you two!!!
I am hoping that is the key! I remember having to constantly pull up my pants when I was pregnant with Macy. When I attempted to wear my old maternity pants last week and the same thing happened, I said helll no and ran to the closest a Pea in the Pod for better quality jeans. It seems that the lycra material on the Pea in the Pod pants is better quality than the Motherhood/Old Navy/Target pants. It is less stretchy but still gives when needed. So far so good, although I only have worn my new jeans once. Let's see how the hold up during the duration of my pregnancy.

Let me know how it goes. Though, I'm pretty sure H would shoot me if I bought $200 jeans.
I have a sleeping baby on me, so this is all I've got on my phone. 5 1/2 weeks pregnant here! I was a size 6 pre-pregnancy.

I am definitely impressed by this bump!!!! When do you go for an US???
I'll 23 weeks tomorrow and this boy have been doing a lot of moving in my belly. Its the most amazing feeling ever. I think 3 days ago I actually saw him make my belly jump, DH also felt him a few times now. I have gained a total of 11lbs last I checked, so Im getting there but I guess still need to work on gaining to be on the range my doctor wants me to be in. Belly is getting bigger and harder, sleeping at night is still ok but becoming a bit of a challenge. I usually sleep on my stomach, so it was hard to begin with already. Now I sleep on my left most of the time and switches when my arms gets numbed. I like to cuddle for a few minutes and usually dose off from there, but i sleep on the right side of the bed so I can't cuddle much since I sleep on my left and my back to DH : ( And I have one pillow supporting my back so I wont lay flat which pretty much barricades DH and I lol. Anyways, switching side is not an option we like our sides heheh so just need to suck it up for 4 more months heheh. I have an appointment on Wed., when does it start when you have to do two visits a month? when do they usually do the sugar test? I want to prepare myself for that since all I hear are horror stories about it being so icky!
Update: oh can you please list me as Team Blue, so we can catch up on all the Team Pinks heheh
I told you!!!!! Yeah, definitely no chubby phase. It's crazy how many people have said something to me. I mean, in reality I know it's not PC to say something to someone just in case they got fat, but it's pretty obvious at this point that I'm KU.
