mailing holiday cards at the post office question

Does anyone know if I can simply take my entire stack of holiday cards to the office and have them stamped there?  Or do I have to buy all the stamps and put them on myself individually and then mail them out?   It seems like a basic question I should know the answer to.  They don't need anything fancy....  just looking for the quickest and easiest way to do it. :)  Thanks!

Re: mailing holiday cards at the post office question

  • You will definitely have to put the stamps on yourself.  I took a stack of resumes once and they wouldn't even weigh them all for me.  They weighed one to find out how much it would cost and them I had to buy the appropriate amount of stamps and stamp them.

  • Yeah, you are going to have to stamp them yourself.

  • Thank you!  This is helpful!
  • At the 2 post offices I use (depending on what is closer to other errands) they will send them through the postage machine for me. (I send letters out too, not at christmas, for other things) not often where they know me well enough to make exceptions either.

It won't be stamps though- it will be inked on printed postage.

Might just depend on the PO.
