Our neighbors are hosting a Christmas party this Saturday. It's nothing big, nothing fancy, just a little get together with us, them and two other sets of neighbors in the one neighbors shed which has been converted to a bar. Each couple is bringing a drink and an appetizer. I'm having a hard time deciding what to bring. Us and the couple hosting are in our 30's and the other couples are in their 50's. I've considered bringing a winter sangria, a cranberry ginger fizz or a Riesling slushie.
It would have to be something I can make early Saturday and can sit, since we have another Christmas party to go to during the day on Saturday. I dont' want to be boring and just bring a bottle of wine or a liquor and mixer.
Any other ideas?
Re: Alcoholic Drinks
Mulled wine or spiked hot cider, you could keep them hot in a crock pot if you have a ladle.
you could do pomegranate or cranberry bellinis.
Prosecco, some pomegranate juice and then some pomegranate seeds in for garnish. Can do the same thing w/ cranberry juice, but I never put cranberries in for garnish, so the pom ones are a little more fun.
We always have these w/ apps @ Thanksgiving.

Oh I don't know if I'll make it but I'd still like the recipe.
