We did the Regency santa. He was great, my kid was not. It was $15 for the minimum purchase (a 4x6) but we did get to take our own pics.

Hy-Vee! The one on 156th and Maple has him every Saturday from 10-2, but you could check the calendars for the other locations.
We went this weekend, and I've never seen a line. Granted my kids looked like a hostage video. Poor DS2, I don't think he blinked once.
They give you several 4x6 pictures for free. It's with a very average digital camera, but you can take as many of your own as you want. Last year's Santa was a little creepy, but this guy was super nice.
