Re: 13 Days Until Christmas... (Check in!)

  • Half done with the glitter ornaments (just have to use the paint pen on the outside and make bows) and the tile coasters (need to do the clear coat and add the felt to the back) and 100% finished with the snowman ornaments (clear globe, stuffed with fake snow and face drawn on with a paint pen - turned out super cute!).

As soon as I'm done, I'll post pictures.

    -Something for my sister

    What have you finished?

  • How's your Christmas crafting going?  Are you going to get done, or are you dropping some projects? Nearly done.

What do you have left to do? I have 3 scarfs and a baby-t-shirt that I need to block.  But I'm done with actual knitting.

What have you finished? 3 scarfs (1 for my mom, 2 for SILs), Sweater & t-shirt for nephew, Blanket for SIL (this is actually for her b-day, but it's Dec 19), Hat for my brother

What project are you most excited to give? Hm... probably the blanket for SIL because she's been asking for it all year!

  • How's your Christmas crafting going?  Are you going to get done, or are you dropping some projects?  I am going to get everything done!

What do you have left to do?  Need to make all of the totes for my aunt and cousins (6 total).  Kindle cover for MIL is almost done.  Head scarves for my grandmother need the finishing touches, too.

What have you finished?  I finished all of the hot/cold packs for the guys in my family.

What project are you most excited to give?  All of the totes.  Can't wait to see how they like them!  I asked each of them what their favorite color is and picked the fabrics based on that.  I guess I am most excited to give one of my cousins hers because the fabric has crabs on it.

  • I'm almost done. I still have the tile coasters left to do. I didn't do too many DIY crafts this year with a LO here.

  • How's your Christmas crafting going?  Are you going to get done, or are you dropping some projects? Um, Panic Mode.  I think if I stay focused, I can finish everything but Mom's throw.  I told her it wasn't going to happen before Christmas and she understands since she knows it was a big request.  So, I'm not really dropping anything, but I will be going into overtime.

What do you have left to do? Let's see, sewing: 2 oven mitts and a tote bag (we'll see.  I have back up gifts if I fail these miserably).  Knitting: scarf for FIL and Mom's afghan see above.  I'm about a third of the way through the scarf, so those three things should work out okay.  Oh, and lots of baking.

What have you finished? DH's sweater, sisters' slippers, sunglasses cases, Dad's gloves, etched wine glasses, MIL's mittens, and a couple more knitted ornaments.

What project are you most excited to give?  The wine glasses (PIPed in a previous thread).  I am thrilled with the way they came out!

  • I've finished four etched beer glasses, one lamp, one make up bag.

I still have 5 solid perfume necklaces to do, 2 make up bags to do, and I've got to figure out more gifts. Why in the heck is Christmas so expensive? Last year was pricey, but I had a H and he was working. This time it's just me. I'm honestly thinking I may not be able to get some people gifts, but then I'd feel really bad.

I'm SUPER excited about giving the lamp. I'm super excited to post pictures of it, too. It's one of my favorite projects I've done.

  • How's your Christmas crafting going?  Are you going to get done, or are you dropping some projects?

I was hoping DH and I could make a kitchen from our entertainment center for my niece but our house build project IRL is going a bit slower due to rain so I'm not sure that will happen.  Fortunately her birthday is Feb so that works well.

What do you have left to do?

I need to finish a felt card house I'm making for my niece with my mom

I also need to finish my moms 2012 calendar (pictures and date pages are down need to figure out what to cut with the cricut)

I also need to start and finish my Christmas Cards

    What have you finished?

    Nothing grr

What project are you most excited to give?

Everything!  The playhouse is probably my favorite though.

  • Ah! I should be doing them right now instead of nesting!!!

Beer (does that count as crafting?) for my uncles/grandpas is nearly done fermenting and needs bottling.

About half done doing the B&W image transfer towels for my aunts/grandmas.

Assembled the nativity for my MIL's nativity, still need to stain and install lights. My mom's has had the pieces cut, nothing else. I'm most excited and most terrified to give these, because I've put sooo much time and learned a lot on these projects. Both my dad and FIL do some woodworking as a hobby and I am a major amateur, so I just don't want to be embarrassed by the final product.

I haven't even started a gift for our Naughty Santa exchange yet; I keep changing my mind about what to make. Now I feel so behind, I'm getting off the computer RIGHT NOW!

  • I didn't make a lot to give as gifts this year, I'm new to crocheting, so I don't feel that I'm that great yet!

I did make a stocking for my brothers dogs, 2 pot holders (they were going to be ours, but DH insisted we give them to his mom), a blanket for my mom, scarf for my mom's dog, an ornament for MIL

I need to make the rest of the ornaments for people and some toys for pets I am working on,  I also need to make some baby gifts for my mom to give to someone.

I think I am most excited about the toys for the pets.  I am making a copy of the Loofa Dogs, which my dog goes crazy over and will be thrilled, it is also in LSU colors :)

  • Christmas crafting is going molasses slow! I'm 97% done making a wine cork board for bil and wife.

still need to do cards... measurements were off and it's taking forever to figure that out. still need to figure out how we are telling the family about the baby... Suggestions are very much welcomed!

nothing is finished, and my dream of a homemade Christmas is out the window!!

most excited to give the baby news! I don't think anyone will be expecting this one, never mind that I'm 10 weeks (12 @Christmas)
