Hey! I figured it was time I checked out the KY board on here.
My husband, son and I live in Murray (How bout them Racersm huh?). My husband is currently going to school and I work as a DJ at a station in Paducah.
Any other western Kentucky ladies on here?

Re: Intro: Western KY Nestie
Check out my profile pic and my sig. I definitely know about those Racers. 11-0!!!
While we don't currently live in Murray, H is from there, we both went to school there, we both have family there, and we both want to move back there with all of our being.
I love chatting with a fellow WKYer! And we are slow about posting over here, but I've got it bookmarked and check it every few days. You can find me on July 2009 or on Entertainment if you need me quicker than that!
And now that I've read your post (I got too excited about the Murray part, sorry!), what radio station are you at?
Hey! And hell yeah 11-0! We're going to watch the Racers play tonight if we can't find the UK game on TV. I'm pretty pumped.
I'm on Electric 96.9 (I host the night show). It's a pretty fun gig if you can get past the obnoxious teenagers that call. haha
I actually noticed your sig over on the Entertainment board the other day and got all excited about the John Wall pic. Then I noticed the Racer pic, too. We're huge UK/MSU basketball fans. It's nice to see another one on here, too!

12-0!!!!!! Gooooooo Racers!! (oh, and UK won, too!)
Elec-tric Ninety-SIX-Nine! (that was my impression of the jingle). I'm not a pop music person, so I'm sorry to say that I don't listen to that station when I'm over there, but my H does, so we support you!
We'll be at the game on Wednesday. The pep band is having alumni come and play with them, so H is playing and I'm his extra ticket. We're both band people, but I didn't play in pep band. Excited to cheer them on in person again this year!
So have you guys been in WKY all your lives? I was born and raised in Hoptown and H is born and raised Murray. PM me any time, I love meeting new people!
I was in pep band, too! I can't go to the alumni game because of work, but that's so cool that you guys are going! I'm sending you a PM. Who knows, we may know each other. haha
To all other KY nesties:
We just figured out we know each other in real life. Never happened to either of us before. Even though KY is a smallish state, I didn't think it would ever happen. Anyone else figured out they know someone else on the nest?
Hey, ladies!
I'm late, but I just saw this post tonight. I'm from Western KY -- Owensboro to be exact. I'm living in the Lexington area now. I have a lot of friends who went to school in Bowling Green and Murray.
That's neat that you all know each other! It's never happened to me and even though I frequent a few boards it seems that I rarely see anyone from KY.
Hi!
Always nice to meet more KY nesties! How do you like living in the Lex area? It's on our 'list of places we may want to live' after my husband graduates. :-)
I've been here a little over a year and really like it so far! My H and I live about 15 min. away from Lex. We go there often and it's the perfect sized city for us for the time being -- plenty of things to do, access to great doctors, an airport, and universities if we decide to go back to school. I have family in the area also which is nice.
Lexington gets a from me!
