Knitting

I would like to learn how to knit.  Anyone have any good suggestions for books or dvds?

Re: Knitting

  • I grabbed a beginner pattern, looked up everything I didn't know how to do on Youtube and just dove in.  I still consult Youtube for new techniques I come across... it's worked the best for me.

  • I agree with PP. I really only knit in the winter (because it's way too hot here and hard to get in the mood to do it year round), so I use Youtube to help me remember techniques and learn new ones. It's so helpful to watch someone else do it vs. book diagrams.
  • There are also some good suggestions for beginner knitters in the FAQs at the top of the board.

    This.

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball
