Re: Ten Things Tuesday
1. I'm at work with nothing to do... maybe I will get some research done for a bridal shower I am going to be throwing!
2. My back has been killing me for 2 days now- I honestly think its from wrapping gifts #ironic
3. I got almost all of my Christmas shopping done yesterday and I am VERY glad because next week is going to be VERY chaotic
4. My friend asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding and we went dress shopping. She found "the one" but it was above her price range. However, the sample was in her price range. Well, the sample was in TERRIBLE shape. So I have been looking EVERYWHERE to find her dress in her price range. AND I may have found it!
5. I took H Christmas shopping with me yesterday and I swear he was more interested in shopping for himself than for everyone else haha
6. I've gained weight in the last month (nothing major) but it's driving me insane
7. I'm going to an ugly sweater party tonight and I am SUPER excited. The sweater I bought is all kinds of ugly -- think shoulder pads
8. I think I am getting sick which means H will get sick too
9. I am so excited that Christmas is a little over a week away!
10. It's Tuesday- Why isn't it Friday yet?
1) I am off today!
2) But I have to go to the dentist
3) I am nowhere near done with my Christmas shopping.
4) I decided to throw an impromptu Christmas Party this weekend for the girls I work with. I am excited about the party but I also need to plan everything out which is a little stressful.
5) I am really excited to give DH his gifts this year. I got him a PS3 and he is going to be very excited and very surprised.
6) I am hoping to hear back this week from HR about how much they can offer me for the position I was offered in Michigan. I am crossing my fingers its something workable.
7) I found a recipe for Oreo Cheesecake Cupcakes and I can't wait to try it out.
8) I hate it when I tell someone I'm not feeling well and they immediately say, "Oh my gosh do you think you are pregnant??" It drives me crazy.
9) I am really happy with myself that I have managed to lose weight over the holidays and still feel like I have treated myself.
10) DH called me on Saturday and left me a message asking me out on a date for the 16th just like he did when we first met 5 years ago. It made me smile.

1. I got 95% of my Christmas cards done last night!
2. I just realized that I'm spending more on postage to mail my Christmas cards than I did on the cards themselves...
3. I plan on stopping by JoAnn's fabric tonight to buy fabric to make stockings!
4. I have a list of 9 people who I want to make stockings for!
5. I have to take my IL's to the airport tonight because they are flying to Germany for 10 days.
6. I am super jealous because of #5
7. #4 also means that DH and I are in charge of the IL's dog for the next 10 days.
8. Last time the IL's were out of town the dog had some pretty serious separation anxiety... I hope that she is okay this time!
9. I am excited for the GTG this week! I hope there is a good turn out!
10. I have already decided what I'm going to do for the white elephant too!!!

I think what made it all the more sweet for me is that he isn't very good with that stuff usually and it caught me completely by surprise.
1. I am eating a piece of cake, I love when co-workers bring in leftover party stuff.
2. I am also debating if I should go out to lunch with a group here in the office. It's a free lunch so I should just go right?!
3. Part of me doesn't want to go because I hate having to fake socialize with people I don't normally talk to. Yes that makes me a little bit of a witch...
4. This is my last week working for the year... sorry if I say that a lot... but I can't wait to be off for 2 full weeks.
5. I am crazy but I am going to try and potty train my dd during those 2 weeks.. who knows if it will work. As of right now all she likes to do is stand in her potty.
6. I haven't sent out Christmas cards yet or even gotten a good holiday picture of DD yet, not sure if I am going to stress about it this year.
7. One of my bestest friends is due any day well actually on Christmas day but she told me today she is feeling off... I am hoping she has this baby soon. I need a baby fix..
8. Boss is gone this week.. which means little is getting done, which is bad.. I have a long list to do before I leave on Friday.
9. I think I might go for the free lunch, I want some fries...
10. Piece of cake is now gone... Half of me wants to go grab another piece for this afternoon... (I start WW tomorrow, I feel like I need to stuff my face today)

1. My SIL got engaged over the weekend.
2. She lives in NYC and wants some of us girls to come to NYC for dress shopping. Can't wait!
3. I'm about to go tell a co-worker to stop being a whiny biotch (its a guy).
4. The only thing stopping me is that I wouldn't be surprised if one day he is going to crack and shoot up the place. I try to stay on his good side because of this.
5. We had 12 people over for dinner on Saturday. It was fun, but exhausting.
6. I've been battling an illness since last Thursday & I just want to be better already.
7. My boss is out today and that makes me happy.
8. Coffee is one of my bestest friends right now.
9. We don't have our Christmas tree up yet and probably won't put it up until Dec 22 or 23rd.
10. I do have a wreath on the door though. Hey, it's something.

1. I am finally mailing out my Christmas cards today!
2. My parents want to buy a "big" gift for me & DH this year instead of individual smaller gifts. They keep asking what we came up with and I honestly do not have any ideas.
3. I made plans with 4 of my friends and now the host has invited 25 more people and it kind of bums me out.
4. I just realized I never hung our stockings this year! I will have to do that when I get home.
5. I hope to buy a few gifts on lunch today, I am so far behind!
6. DD is so funny, last night DH said "I'll help you" and she said "No Da da, I'll help you".
7. I have to stop buying things for her for Christmas, she really doesn't need anything, but some stuff is so cute, it's hard to resist!
8. How is Christmas only 12 days away???
9. Our office is having people bring in food all week, I can't wait to have one of the yummy cupcakes after lunch :-)

That is so sweet! She is lucky to have such a great friend!
1. I want to talk to an advisor to make sure I'm taking the right classes next semester but nobody is available this month or next.. which means I'm stuck with these classes and I sure hope all of them are applied to my degree.
2. A nap sounds so lovely right now.
3. Next week I'm making Star Wars Wookie Cookies for DH and my sister's bf with her and I'm really excited about it.
4. I continue to get this unhappiness feeling inside me.. which is why I dropped out of college to join the Army, which is why I switched colleges, which is why I moved to San Antonio for 4 months of volunteer work, and I don't know what's in store for me because I don't want to leave college AGAIN. I want to eventually finish!
5. I'll be missing getting a paycheck the last 2 weeks of the month but I'm looking forward to having some free time to do a lot of errands, projects, hanging out with old friends, working out, and doing research.
6. I'm still in debate if I want to go to a viewing on Friday evening to a family friend that passed away. I'm depressed just thinking about it :-/
7. This list is really un-fun. Let's do jumping jacks or eat chocolate or something!
8. Is there really only one episode of Dexter left this season?! Yikes..
9. MIL, GPIL/GMIL are coming over for dinner tonight.. maybe that's why I'm not in the best mood, haha (they are all so sweet people, I promise, I shouldn't complain)

1. YAY I just read Sassy's post and I'm SOOO excited for her!!!
2. Tonight is our holiday open house for our volunteers. Yes, I am working over 10 hours today so they can have a merry-effin'- Christmas.
3. The good news: I get to eat lots of cookies and have 2 super easy hours of work AND leave early on Thursday. Win.
4. I'm in a GREAT mood today compared to the last two days when I hated everyone.
5. I'm excited to eat lunch.
6. Unfortunately, my lunch is not exciting.
7. I FINALLY bought my ornament for my SS last night. It will be in the mail tomorrow. I did not forget about you!
8. I'm sad I won't make it to the G2G this Friday.
9. I'm SUPER excited to go to The English Inn w/ DH! Their menu looks amazing, and it's all paid for because it was a gift!
10. I'm getting a headache. Again.
1. How is it only Tuesday?!
2. This will be my first Christmas spent with DH (we've been together for 7 years). Although I'm really excited to finally celebrate with him, I'm very sad I won't get to spend it with my family.
3. I finished all my shopping on Saturday and I'm so proud of myself
4. I am determined to paint a room while I am off for a week and a half over break.
5. Any suggestions on what color to paint my bathroom? It currently is bright yellow with a giant monkey painted on the wall so anything else be an enormous improvement (our towels are dark blue if that helps with suggestions.)
6. We still don't have our tree up nor have we decorated inside. I'm feeling very grinchy this year.
7. DH and I are having a date night and going to the movies on Friday and I'm super excited. We haven't been on a date in awhile.
8. DH is also super sick at the moment so I'm hoping he feels better so we can do #7.
9. Today is my niece's first birthday. Happy Birthday Isabel!!
10. I'm currently reading a book in which the main character's husband dies 8 months into the marriage. We'll be celebrating month 7 next week. I don't think this was a good choice in books...
I hope DH feels better so you can go on your date night!
I get really into books I read so this book would make me a hot mess lol.
1. I am eating leftover chicken alfredo that I made on Sunday.
2. Some of the pieces of chicken don't taste good. I don't get it.
3. FI and I finished almost all of our shopping over the weekend.
4. We only have his parents left, and we know what we are getting them. Just have to go out and get it.
5. I kinda over-bought for people at work. I was shocked when the register at BB&B said over $100.
6. I immediately had buyer's remorse after #5, and I plan on returning the majority of what I bought and making some snacks the majority of the people.
7. #6 is a much more reasonable way to go about this holiday.
8. Less than 7 months until the wedding and honeymoon. I can't believe it!
9. Because of #8, no one is getting Christmas cards from us. They got save the dates before Thanksgiving...good enough.
10. I'll probably take a picture of us and the dog in front of the Christmas tree and email it to family. Add that to #9, and then it's definitely good enough.
ahhh... I just typed out 10 things very easily. However they all made me look terrible and a Negative Nilly. I deleted it all and I'm moving on.
Two things were postiive and I'll share those:
1. I love my children more than anything and LOVE seeing them work together to find "Thomas the Elf" (our elf on a shelf- which is MUCH cuter than the real guy) and then their faces light up when they find him.
2. I'm super excited and motivated to start my "happiness project". I asked for a nice journal for xmas but doubt I'll get it so I'm debating going to get one myself.

Losing it...Without Losing it
I'm the same way. Fortunately in this book, he's already dead so it's more just background for the story. I read a book when we were engaged and the husband died right in the middle of the book. There were all these signs to say it was going to happen but it blindsided me. I was a WRECK. DH made fun of me for getting so emotional about something "that wasn't real." I told him he was dead inside.
1. We won't be taking James to see Santa this year. I feel like scrooge lol.
2. We haven't sent out Christmas cards yet....I will by Friday!
3. I have to swing by the post office and get stamps for cards which I am dreading.
4. We are 99% done with Christmas shopping and 0% done with wrapping.
5. We barely got James anything for Christmas outside of a few outfits.
6. I don't feel bad about #5 because he won't know the difference and I know MIL is going to go apeshit with gifts since it's the first and only grandkid. Again, scrooge.
7. We put up our tree this weekend and I tormented James by making him take photos in front of it.
8. I plan to do more torture...I mean photos this weekend.
9. I have been shamefully unmotivated at work and home lately. I only do what absolutely needs to get done.
10. H has really stepped up and taking care of everything at home from cooking to cleaning to grocery shopping. I truly appreciate all he does (and tell him often) but I don't feel guilty since I'm primarily responsible for James.
1. I'm currently listening to a Christmas harp CD and it's quite relaxing.
2. I need to get some things at Babies R Us, and yet I really don't want to go out in the cold.
3. Emma sent a letter to Santa asking for a play kitchen and baby toys for Lily.
4. I may or may not still be wearing a pair of maternity pants at the moment...they're just so comfortable!
5. I bought Emma some winter boots with Disney princesses on them.
6. She really likes them because the soles light up.
7. We're getting really close to signing the purchase agreement on the new house and I'm really excited.
8. People that put up Christmas lights are awesome.
9. People that say "Merry Christmas" are awesome too.
10. My 6 year anniversary is on Friday.
1. I'm feeling the effects of staying up until 1am & getting up at 7:30am.
2. Had my last BSF class today for 3 weeks.
3. Since I have 3 weeks to do my 6 day lesson, I have no excuse not to get it done!
4. Getting over my cold, last phase is always the dry cough, I hate it!
5. Glad the kids are better & DH finally got to go to CT (which means he is healthy too)
6. DD followed me to the basement where I have the computer right now & wanted to help me w/my cards.
7. She has been asleep on the couch for over an hour now.
8. It wasn't too cold out, so I vacuumed the minivan & got the leaves out of the garage w/the leaf blower.
9. Glad I mailed our Arizona gifts today & there wasn't a long line.
10. Now to get the cards out, I'm in no hurry this year, that's ok w/me.
FEEL BETTER!
... and I love cleaning the interior of my car. Car washes, on the other hand, aren't really exciting because I work on a dirt road so there's no point. AND my ford focus is silver with black handles so I don't find it particularly attractive anyway (Sorry, Sir Georgio)
