Is anyone in Liege?! Belgium Nesties, check in...

Saw this on CNN...were any of our nesties in Liege??

Apparently there was shooting into the crowds and some grenades exploding.  Hope you all are ok!  My heart goes out to those in the crowd who were touched by such useless violence.

  • I know that we have at least 1 regular IN and 1 visitor one in Belgium. I am not sure if they are in Leige though.

  • Oh no! Sorry I missed this check in yesterday!

I found out about this when FIL sent me a text message to my email (and DH too). He sent us a link to the article. I had not heard about this around work or anything yet, though people were buzzing by late afternoon.

It's absolutely crazy and so sad! We live in Belgium, but thankfully were not in Liege at the time, but at work - actually we've never been to Liege (no particular reason).

We're headed to the Maldives on Christmas Eve!

  • Hey! I'm not in li?ge but thanks for your concern! It's absolutely shocking what happened, those poor people!
  • I now understand why my train was stopped for 45 minutes just outside of Li?ge on Tuesday. They said the train was having mechanical problems, but there was a train on the tracks next to us stopped too and something just wasn't right about it.
