Laminate flooring

Dh wants to get laminate flooring. We have a yellow lab and he thinks laminate will hold up better. If you have laminate, how do you like it? Where did you get it and who installed? I have looked at Lumber Liquidators in the past but we can never agree. Up until recently we didn't plan to stay in this house. This was dh's house before we met and lots of things about it would have put it in the no category if I had been looking with him. After refi'ing into a 15 year and plans to pay it off in less, he thinks we are best to stay put. Now trying to do things to get it up to date so the flooring needs to be something we can live with long term. We also have some tile that needs removed so whoever lays the flooring may be removing the tile as well.

My parents got theirs from Home Depot. and installed it themselves.

You may be able to get a deal where they do an install for like $50, That's the deal we got on our carpeting

We just had a private flooring contractor do ours and are very happy with it so far! His name is Eric Waltman and his business is called All Craft Services..His number is 264-0406.. He can buy through some of the wholesalers around town and we ended up getting our flooring from Pro-Source Flooring in Urbandale but could have also gotten it at Gilcrest-Jewitt or anywhere around town really.. We were impressed because he was the only one who made sure to point out potential issues like our pocket door and height of the floor under the dishwasher.. He tore out our old sheet vinyl but I would guess he can remove tile too..

Lumber Liquidators is having a sale on laminate and everything in-stock starting tomorrow. They also have installation services available

We used Flooring America in Ankeny and it was the WORST.  Their customer service was worse than the Sprint Store, which I didn't think was possible.

We like the laminate though.

I'm new here but we used Limber Liquidators got flooring and we have 3 dogs. We decided to get the 12mm flooring and the durability has been great!!!! Not to mention very affordable and easy to install! I'd buy from them again. Also the flooring in our kitchen has been down for 6+ months and has held up great!
