Your post about Nora's hair made me LOL. I have been talking about getting Jane's hair cut since she was probably Nora's age and I just haven't done it. It's not a sentimental thing, it's a "I can't see how we can fix this thing...". So you know you're not alone w/ your Bieber-baby (though, I have to day, I'd kill for Nora's curls
)
Exhibit A: Meet Jane Bieber
Exhibit B: When we clip her bangs, this is what's underneath. All these new (?) bangs. I just don't see how cutting will help? So for now, we clip.
If you go for the cut, we'll need before & after shots

We have the wispy bangs underneath, too! But even those are getting long at this point.
I am a little sentimental about the first haircut, but my main reason for procrastinating is that, like you, I just can't see it working out. I got an e-mail from one of my friends this morning that was all, "DON'T CUT IT. Look at my niece." and she sent me a photo of a poor child with a horrifying haircut due to the fact that they cut bangs from hair that grew at the back of the head. Haha. BUT, Evie's hair looks cute, so clearly there are success stories.
I think I'm probably just going to wait it out? Although I am discouraged by the blog comment I got this morning that said that her daughter is 30 months old and her hair STILL grows forward instead of to the sides. LOL

I waited it out, and it's now long enough to do much more with. Alex has a horrible cowlick in the back, and we were constantly being told to keep her hair out of her face, but she would pull out any hair ties and put them in her mouth. The cowlick causes it to have a side part, but it still covers her face more often than not.
An example of the in between stage
Now she still has the cowlick, and her hair goes in her face still, but she brushes it away. I have no desire to cut it until I can't comb it out anymore.
I have no mail
