I found an apartment listing on our local classified advertisement website, and it looks perfect for me! It's very close to my train station and even closer to my close friends' place than where I live now (with ex). It's 65m? and not even at the top of my budget (which would usually get me 50m? in that neighborhood). It only has one bedroom, which might be part of the lower rent, but it's better for me, because it means all the rooms have plenty of space. That includes the bedroom, so I could fit my double bed without a problem. It even has a balcony and a bathtub!
As soon as I saw it on Monday, I sent an email through the site to ask about arranging a viewing, but I haven't heard anything back. I sent an SMS to the listed phone number this afternoon (because I hate calling people - especially when I have to ask people to speak English).
I really want to go see this apartment, so could I get some housing vibes that the place is still available, the guy contacts me, and that the apartment doesn't have any terrible problems?
Tusen takk! and fingers crossed!

What'd you do with your old place? Are you still in the place you own?

As for the old place, I'm still sharing it with XH. We talked briefly this evening, and he said he'd like to try to buy me out, so now I need to ask around to find out how to get a realtor to assess the market value of the flat.
Good luck!
