I just spent an arm and a leg on baking supplies for goodies I am making for friends, neighbors, and DH's team at work.
I am making:
Cocoa krispie balls
Peppermint bark (also with dark choc base)
choc dipped pretzel rods
monster cookies
Re: Whoa, baking is not MM
Yum!
But I agree with the MM aspect. Whenever we go somewhere for football and bring either buffalo chicken dip or pepperoni bread, I always run to the store for supplies for just the one dish and leave thinking "Holy crap, that was expensive to make one thing!"
Seriously! And eggs are expensive too because I will not buy the cheap eggs since DS eats them now and then so I will only buy the organic, cage free ones.
I saw that Nestle or someone is making bags of already crushed peppermint, which is an awesome idea! Until I saw the price of 1 tiny bag. I slowly backed away and went and bought a bag that felt like it weighed as much as DS did at birth and paid the same price for that.
