What's bugging you Wednesday

What's bugging you today that isn't really a big deal?

Re: What's bugging you Wednesday

  • The rain is bugging me!  I know some people won't agree but at this time of the year I would MUCH rather have snow!  It's just ugly and nasty outside!
  • It bugs me that all throughout the week I think of things to say on this post for Wednesday, but when the day finally rolls around I can't remember any of them. Confused

It bugs me that DH drinks so much darn Pop.  Seriously. It's expensive and I joke around with him that's he's addicted to it and I'm not buying as much.  In addition to the cost, he leaves the stupid cans around all over the kitchen counter and expects me to wash them out.  Whenever I say anything about it he says "Well I just sat it there and I was going to do it later." Yeah. Okay.

  • The fact that I have to work at all this week and next.  Stick out tongue

And this headache that I can't seem to shake today.

I had one this morning & it's gone, so hopefully you can shake yours.  Maybe the 4 desserts I baked helped.......or the pop.....or the tylenol  Surprise

I could have written this same thing!!!  DH drinks diet pop like it is going out of style!  He works 12 hour shifts and used to take 3 cans of pop for work.  I kept telling him I didn't like him taking that many, but I'd rather have him bring it from home than buy it out of the machines.  Lately, I've been noticing him bringing 4 pops!!!  He really is addicted and I don't think he could go more than 2 days without pop.  I keep telling him I've given it up while I'm pregnant and nursing, so he should be able to do it too....but that would never happen.

My DH is the same way!!! I stopped buying pop because its sooo expensive, especially the way he drinks it!  I told him he needs to start drinking water. Drinking that much diet pop is not good for you. He can drink a whole 2-liter just with dinner! It's a little much.

I'm glad to hear I'm not alone on this one.  I actually figured out the other day how much he actually drinks, and it's absurd.  I told him what percentage of our monthly grocery budget was currently going to his pop addiction and he was embarrassed, as he should be.  I'm with you though, I'd rather be buying it myself than having him spend $1/pop at the machines at work.  GRRR.

  • This is totally flame worthy but...

I'm getting annoyed being around DH's grandma. Well, not getting annoyed. I am annoyed whenever I'm around her. It's sad that she's old and forgetful but I get annoyed hearing the same stories and getting the same questions (are your parents married? Do you have any siblings? Have you been to _____?) This probably makes me sound like a horrible person. I promise I was heartbroken when my own grandpa was in the nursing home and couldn't remember my name on some days but with her... ugh... I am easily bothered by everything she says.

(fyi she came over for dinner last night and asked us what we were doing for Christmas 6 times... SIX. And asked DH 4 times when he was going to come over to get some paintings her artistic father painted so we can have some more wall decor. I'm sorry, it got old.)

I don't blame you.  That would get pretty annoying if you had to deal with it all the time.  My Dad is only in his 60's and yet I swear he just doesn't listen to anything you tell him.  He'll ask you a question, you'll tell him the answer, and then 5 minutes later he'll ask you again and say he didn't hear you.  It's crazy.

  • DH is the most annoying person to sleep next to.  The past couple of weeks he's woken me up around 2 am with his knee in my back or him snoring right in my face.  Last night I got so fed up with him so I stormed out to the living room to sleep on the couch...which is nothing compared to my bed.  He's a butthead!!!

  • oh... thought of a few more.
My SIL--- all 3 of them actually.
bros wife- was my closest family member and bf forever, then she dropped of the face of the earth and doesn't talk to me- but when she does, she thinks it's ok to act like nothing changed. EVERYTHING CHANGED!
dh's bros wife- love her the most. but she's playing the 'new baby card' ridiculously hard this year and making things crazy and complicated for the rest of us.
dh's sister- she's just a spoiled little beast that thinks the world revolves around her and her needs- which are met 100% by her mom (and dad) even though she's 26? years old, works full time and lives on her own--- mom probably pays rent and groceries (She pays for phone, car and car insurance already). She bailed on dh's surprise bday party/goodbye party right before the party started. She's done a ton of other things like that over the past 7 months too. She even told dh that 'Life doesn't stop just because you're in town'.  Her excuse for not seeing us or our kids is that 'a friend is moving so we're having a goodbye party'.  The week of Christmas is 'I have friends coming into town that I haven't seen in a while so I'm planning on spending time with them'... Ugh, you haven't seen your BROTHER and his kids since AUGUST NumbNut!  I couldn't care less if I don't see her, but I know that's not the case for dh and my kids.  She also stopped talking to my husband for a few months because she bitched to him and he gave her advice about something- she must not have liked what he said. :/

  • It's funny that everyone is bringing up the pop thing because that is EXACTLY what was frustrating me! He drinks A LOT and I'll come home and they'll be everywhere. In the living room, the bedroom, the kitchen, my car, the bathroom? WTF right? I don't drink much, if any pop, and when I do, I wash out the can and put it in the recycle box...

I told him if he doesn't start picking them up there will be no more pop.  It's messy and attracts bugs. Ew.
