Staged coffin photo at Lackland tech school

I'm sure you've all heard of it.

I have one of the popular military spouse magazines "liked" on FB and they posted an article this morning about the photo.  Everyone's in agreement, this is in poor taste, but some knucklehead said something along these lines:  My friends in the Army and Marines say this has to do to coming to terms with risking their lives and the possibility of dying in the line of duty.  These people are AF though, so I'm not sure why they did it.

That photo is disgusting. I saw it yesterday on Stan's FB and I just don't get how someone (or several someones, as the case may be) could ever think that was okay. Groupthink it its best.

I saw that yesterday and was enraged.  The excuse of the you are talking about is a BS excuse.  There is absolutely no excuse as to why that crap would be done.  I hope every single one of those guys are chaptered out because they obviously have issues.  I doubt any of them have had to deal with the loss of one of their own.  This behavior makes me sick.

I totally agree. I was appalled when I saw the photo. I don't see how anyone in their right mind would think its okay to not only photograph something like that but post it somewhere where it could be passed along on the internet.

I hate crap like that. This was, as you said yesterday, a bunch of tech school babies being idiotic (shocker) and some crap NCOs. I personally think the babies can be taught without getting kicked out. But a Tech should know better.

I agree with that part.  Most of the babies were probably going along with it because of what the Techs are teaching them.
