Crock Pot Appetizer idea NOT MEATBALLS?
So tomorrow we are having our work party. I'm in charge of the food committee and have yet to decide on what to make. To make it even worse, my boss, being the time-warped from the 1960s boss that he is, told me to bring something for him as well and he would pay me for whatever I bring. Schweet. So here's my question. The party is at 1:30 in the afternoon and I was wondering if any of you had ideas of what to bring that could be cooked in a crock pot? I am bringing something sweet but thought I'd balance it by bringing something savory as well. Someone is bringing queso and another is bringing those tacky meatballs swimming in unidentifiable sauce.. So what's something else I could do?

I've made this buffalo chicken dip using ranch dressing and cheddar cheese (instead of blue or motzarella) and people seem to love it. I double the recipe too.

I usually put tortilla chips with it.
I was thinking about that queso in a crock - 2lb velveeta, 1 can rotel tomatoes, and if you want, 1 lb cooked sausage or hamburger
taco meat...it will go with the chips/queso...you can also bring small soft shells, lettuce, cheese, and salsa (to be simple)
Some kind of beans?
You could use a tiny crock pot and do brie cheese with dijon mustard, brown sugar and sliced almonds next to some crackers or bread, or do a bread pudding or fruit crisp.
