American-Trained Afghani Pilots

These guys are in MH's class. They are really sweet and I had no idea their being here was such a big deal. I didn't realize that they are the first guys of their kind. I kind of feel proud that I got to know them while they were here.

  • Yes!
I've seen a lot of military surprise homecomings. It wouldn't work on me. I always have my back to the corner and my face to the door. Looking for terrorists, criminals, various other threats, and husbands.
  • The class I'm in right now, we have a South African Rear Admiral and a 1LT from Kosovo. So neat to meet other nations military officials!

  • That's so awesome!

H has a couple Germany buddies that did training with him and now are back in Germany... They still keep in touch, and I think that's great!

I think it's so great with helping better our international relations. So cool that you got to meet them :)
