Which Bar wanted you to pay to change your name?
I had passed both MA and NY in my maiden name and changed to my married without issue...now I have to change back.

Re: **VABeach**
VA
!
You don't have to pay to change it unless, and here's where it gets fun, you were sworn in by the SCt of VA (you can be admitted w/o the SCt swear in). If you go the swear in route and you want to change you HAVE to change it with them (like not an option not to the 2d time around... don't ask, I've no idea why. I also have no idea what a writ of repelvin is, but that's beside the point
).
I did the swear-in so my that my parents could come to the ceremony. I skipped my graduation ceremony and my Mom digs that kind of stuff. I don't (thus the graduation skipping), but I figured she'd enjoy it.
So since I went the swear-in route, I'd need to pay to change it w/ the Sct. It's not that much money (I forget exactly, but like $50/75, I think), but it galls me on principle.
