Update: Ectopic Pregnancy

Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers in my original post.

The original shot of medication did not work so I opted for a second dose of the methotrexate a week later.  I felt pretty good, minimal cramping and minimal side effects until Wednesday of this week.

To make a long story short, I ended up having pretty bad cramping and pressure on Wednesday afternoon.  Went to the ER at Woman's and an ultrasound showed internal bleeding. I had emergency surgery that night to remove about a liter and a half of blood in my pelvic cavity and also my right Fallopian tube with the ectopic pregnancy. The surgeon was amazed that I didn't have more pain from the internal bleeding.  Luckily, the tube hadn't actually ruptured as originally thought, but it was "leaking" quite a bit.  I would have hated to experience an actual rupture. Yikes!

I'm recovering from the surgery and loving Vicodin right now. :)  I'm glad that this chapter is almost over, and I can move forward from here.

Thanks again. I love that y'all are such a supportive group of ladies!
