Bass Concert Hall question

So, I'm looking at tickets to Wicked and there is a huge difference in price (of course) by location. I've never been there, so I was wondering how the view would be from a seat maybe in the 1st balcony, or even further up. I have been dying to see this musical, but would love it if the view from the $40-60 seats would be decent, rather than having to splurge for the $140 seats to just be able to see the stage.

Thanks ladies!

  • I have no advice about the venue, but I love Wicked! It's a really great show.

That's what I've heard! A friend of mine actually saw it up in NYC in May and loved it! I'm hoping I'll be able to justify spending the money Smile

  • I'm no help either, but we're looking at going also! We missed it last time it was in town and I am dying to see it.

Any night you're looking at going?

ETA: What website are you looking at for tickets? They have lower balcony for $82-$87 on the Texas Performing Arts website.

I'm not sure what night I'm looking at going yet. I just now started looking. Do you know when you guys are going yet?

I did see the lower balcony seats also which would be much better than the orchestra seats price-wise :)

  • I'm taking my Mom to go see it for her birthday. We're so excited, I've heard its great! We got tickets in the $86 price range. I went and saw Phantom of the Opera there and we were in the upper balcony and it was pretty far away to see much detail, so we wanted to get better seats for this. We're going February 5th (Sunday night). I'd buy tickets soon because I noticed all of the Saturdays were selling out.

  • I think it depends on your eyesight and interest in seeing (vs. hearing, like at a concert). A lot of the balconies are pretty far up. I'd probably go for the pricy ticket if it is really worth it to you.
