Virus going around?
Has anyone here been hit recently with a really bad virus that results in a lot of vomiting and diarrhea? DH is sick as a dog, and I was just curious if this is a 24-hour thing or a 3-day thing. I seem to recall some people commenting about a virus on FB, but I can't find the posts now that I am looking for it. I really thought it was food poisoning when he first woke up sick this morning, but we're now 17 hours later and he is still as sick as he was in the AM.

Re: Virus going around?
Well, everyone always says "there's a virus going around" whenever ANYONE has one, but I did recently have ~ TMI ~ an evening/morning of diarrhea earlier this week. It wasn't terrible and only lasted a little while (the diarrhea was one evening, then I woke up the next morning with it), but I still felt crappy the whole next day and didn't have an appetite. My stomach was all churning and I felt nauseous.
We had it last week. blegh I was hopeful that it would only last 24 hours, but it was more like 4-5 days.
I had this same type of thing the first week of December. DH had vomiting with his. We were both sick for about 2 days, but the vomiting/diarrhea was only the first day.
Since posting this, I came down with it as well. The bad part only lasted 24 hours, so that was a silver lining. I was pretty disturbed to step on the scale and see that I had lost 5 pounds in 2 days. Much better today, but yesterday sucked.
Food poisoning that lasts days?!? Oy. I feel for you, V. I had food poisoning once, and it was so awful that I wished death would take me. I can't imagine going through that for days.
