We found a place!
First of all, thank you all for the suggestions on places to live! After many hours searching online, we narrowed it down to 15 apartments/townhomes/condos to look at. After a whirlwind 1.5 days we found a small apartment complex (in the middle of a neighborhood of houses) that we love! It really feels more like a townhome and has everything (minus a small yard/patio) that we wanted in a home. We decided on the energy corridor (we will be off Memorial)
I even found a studio to teach a few classes a week at 
Now for a whirlwind week of packing and looking for furniture (we don't have any)!

Welcome to the West Side! You need to try the new pizza place at Kirkwood and Memorial. Just opened last week and it's SOOOOOOOOOO good.. Pizarros.
