Will they accept a kohls % off coupon as a competitor coupon?

If they sell the item at Kohls, they should. (I doubt they would take the coupon on a fine china item or a BB&B house "exclusive" but if it's a cookware set, kitchen appliance, etc. it shouldn't be a problem)
I worked there 5 years ago (and in a different state) and we had a drop down menu on the register and Kohls was one of the listed competitors. We also had Michael's listed, so I guess if you were buying a frame or decor item that they also sold at Michael's you could try to use a 40% off coupon. I also know that a lot of these decisions are up to the manager and regional manager, so what was true in my store may not be the case here. However, if there was one thing they stressed to the employees over and over it was that we "never say no" so if they give you trouble, keep pushing and ask to speak to a manager.
