Cell phones and driving...
I was stopped at a red turn arrow...for quite a while. I was first in line, the straight traffic had a green and apparently the lady behind me thought ours was green too. She didn't stop at all. She just plowed into the back of my car.
My bumper must be really tough bc you can hardly tell she hit it. Other than my headache now and the coffee all ivey my car, you'd never know it.
She said that her phone rang and she looked over at it to answer and thought the light was green.
I'm always telling my husband not to mess with his phone while driving. Maybe now he'll listen to me.

So dangerous. Our province just implemented a "distracted driving" law that includes only hands free use of cell phones. I cringe when I see teenagers texting and driving and I just want to slap some sense into them. Or the dummies who are talking on speaker phone but still holding the phone up by their face. That's not hands free!
Im glad you're ok. I imagine she will pay for any damage?
Glad to hear that you are ok
I am guilty of this :-/ The light turned green, truck started to go, I looked to the side to put my phone down and BOOM. My Jetta needed some work and a new radiator, his jacked-up pick-up was just fine. I was really mad because I normally just drop my phone in my lap and if I had done that I would have seen him stop.
Yes she will pay for the damage. I got her insurance info.
We have a no textin while driving law here but ppl rarely obey it.

California is supposed to be a hands free state... but soooo many people ignore it. I heard the fine has gone way up though.... so we'll see.
Glad you're ok and it was only minor but phones really are distracting....
The scary part of this is that I still see people texting and driving all the time.
I'm so glad you're okay Lena!
