1st Birthday

Eek! I can't believe it's finally time to plan the 1st birthday. Any tips anyone can pass on? We are looking at around 20 people with 4 of those being children not including Lyra. I have seen so many cute ideas it's hard to narrow it down.

I find it easiest to do cupcakes instead of a cake. Otherwise, we kept it pretty simple because the kids don't really care about all the decorations and whatnot.

Did you still need to borrow my cupcake cake pan?? I still have it and will not be needing it anytime soon if you still want to borrow it.  I can meet up with you any weekend, or you can pick it up from me at my office during the week if that works too. Just let me know!

YES! I was just starting to go through old posts to find the one on who had the pan.

 

Sorry nancy, no dr. seuss. I had a showered with that theme maybe when she gets a little older but I want this one to be pretty pink and girly!

Have someone take pictures for you; it's impossible and so not fun to try to enjoy the party AND be the photographer.  Hand over your camera to someone who you know will do a good job.  Or, hire someone.

This is probably a given, but something I feel like people do often:

Don't schedule her party at a time that also coincides with a nap.
