One small little puppy related vent

Ok. I DD. It was a stupid vent and I don't want it on the net. Sorry.

  • Oh no!  I'm sure it wasn't so terrible you needed to delete, but I hope all is well with the new pup.  Puppies are tough, plus you have babies, so give yourself a break, crazy lady.  Anywho, if you need a "big dog" play date, Sienna is the best -- she LOVES all dogs and people. she's a sweetie.

Thanks. It actually wasn't a puppy problem at all but an SO problem. He wouldn't listen or even acknowledge what I was saying about training. He kept saying I was "mean" for things like potty training. So I was a little annoyed.

Can you get him a book about dog behavior?  It sounds like he doesn't really understand how to train a confident, socialized dog.

  • I signed up for the puppy classes at Petsmart and we both went or took turns going. It was great for Kona but really good for dh and I to get on the same page as far as how to teach Kona right from wrong. I think without that, we would have gotten into a lot of disagreements and the teacher was fantastic, she really went over and beyond to teach us how to teach Kona, not just teach Kona.
