My husband's family goes to dinner every year for New Year's Eve and every year there is an issue. Between 12 people...no one can decide on where they want to go. His mother (who only eats chicken fingers, no matter where we go) makes a huge deal every year. Well I am not dealing with it this year. I told my husband last night that I'll just do the dinner at our house that way we don't have to sit through the next two weeks of aruging where we are going to go. I need help! haha.
I need menu ideas for very picky eaters...they don't like to try anything new at all. Chicken seems to big their comfort food...any ideas are helpful! Thanks in advance!
Re: New Year's Eve CASUAL Dinner
Pork and kraut and mashed potatoes is traditional in my family, but it doesn't sound like that would work.
What about pasta? lasagna or chicken parmesan? When I had a crowd of picky eaters I did a pasta bar- linguini, red sauce, alfredo sauce, shrimp, meatballs, and chicken. Everyone could build their own however they want. Add a salad and bread.
Well I suggested Hotdogs, Pork and Sauerkrat...but that is a no go bc they eat that New Year's Day. So do I BUT i also eat it New Years Eve. lol.
The Pasta Bar is a good idea! Thanks for the help.
