My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.
Re: Good Things Monday
1. Things are really good at work right now. I've got a new boss who helps me do good work instead of cutting me down and I've been more of the type of stuff I should be doing. For the first time in my career, I feel like 13 years of slugging through the crap is paying off and I'm right where I should be.
2. My marriage with dh is solid. That time off brought us closer together and it's so nice to know he's got my back.
3. I've done a fairly (ok, not perfect, but good for me) job of staying calm and not stressing during the holidays.
1. I've had a postive response to my new liver meds which may mean we can TTC in 6-8 months.
2. We had Christmas number 1 yesterday and it was fun and relaxed and not all like the Family Drama CF that was Thanksgiving.
3. We leave in 2 days for Texas-My first Christmas with my Dad since 2000, my sister since 2003, and my first ever with my nieces!!!
1. Dh and I had such a fun weekend. Holiday parties, family visiting, and a wonderful lazy Sunday with just the two of us. Perfecto.
2. 4 day week!
3. I got to work at 7am and got so much work done already. Love when I get here before it gets distracting.
1. We checked a few names off our gift list after shopping yesterday.
2. My brother didn't lose vision in one eye this weekend after a glass bottle blew up in his face.
3. The 49ers are playing on Monday Night Football. Woohoo!
AWESOME news!!! I assume they're is a crazy story behind that?
1. I had a very busy but fabulous weekend hanging out with my parents who were visiting, having friends and family over for latkes, and celebrating my dad's 60th birthday. Lots of good food and wine, friends and family, laughing and catching up with people I love. It was great and really lifted my spirits.
2. I did a pretty extensive cleaning of my house last week and I love walking through uncluttered, dusted rooms.
3. I have so many leftovers in my fridge that I don't have to cook for probably three nights. Which means that I get to read more in the evening
1. I finished all my wrapping
2. Chrismtas with my family will be on Saturday
3. DH and I will be spending Christmas morning in our home enjoying mimosas
4. I love saying the word no to family members. It warms my heart.
1. my family is healthy
2. my cousin just found out she is having boy #3
3. my kitties are precious!!!!
4. being on maternity leave has given me a chance to really focus on my baking portfolio . its about 20 pages of pictures of cakes really showcasing my cakes. hopefully this will open up some doors for future business.
1. our nephews (from DH's side) are up here for almost two weeks. We haven't seen them since summer.
2. We have a doppler reading on Thursday to hear baby's heartbeat.
3. A short work week.
IUI #1 10/12/11 (Bravelle + HCG + Prometrium & acupuncture) = 10/26 BFP! Beta #1=250, Beta #2= 615. 1st u/s 11/8.
Well, I feel like I'm always a barrel of laughs these days what with DH bedbound again but I will try.
1) I am glad I will get to see my family, esp my grandpa, for Christmas. I am going a few days early and then since my brother's GF is from down here they'll take me back on Christmas Eve to be with DH on the way to her family. MIL will come the week after Christmas to do "Christmas" with us. I am hoping I can get my mom to come for a day, too. I'm trying really hard to put a happy spin on a totally crappy situation this holiday.
2) I am done Christmas shopping except for gift cards I'll go get in a few minutes.
3) We have lots of food so I can do some holiday baking.
4) Less than a week til the DA Xmas episode.
