Ok so on Friday night hubs got into an accident on 80. In our new car we got a week ago. Winston was also in the car.
<br> they are both ok. The car is not. I regularly attempt to show gratitude for
what I have in my life, but getting the call from the paramedics that my husband was in an accident and can I get to the hospital makes one realize how quickly things can change. Nothing is guaranteed in life. Hug your people and animals extra close and try to remember how important they are even if they annoy you at your holiday gathering.

SOOOO happy they are both ok!! We took the dogs with us to the Bay Area yesterday and I had this weird panic attack about getting in a car accident with them and what would happen.
Can I ask-What did happen with Winston? If your hubby with the paramedics to the hospital what did they do with him?
OMG.. thats horrible. I'm so glad your husband and Winston are ok. I worry about my pups in an accident as well (and my husband.. but he at least has airbags and a real seatbelt), and make sure they are buckled in to some degree (not as good as human seat belts, but some device to make sure they don't go through the windshield.).

Thinking of you and Colin and Winston.
Good perspective.
I'm glad to hear they're okay...

Yikes. It was bad enough to take him to the hospital, huh? How did it happen? Poor pups. Glad everybody was OK though.
Regarding the grateful thing, lately I've been thinking that life is so good it's like a movie where everything is happy and people are in love... and then it turns into horror movie. You know, like in Wolverine when he's working as a logger and living with the teacher he's madly in love with in a cabin in the Canadian Rockies and then they kill her off. Makes me appreciate what I have (and now I'm babbling).
Poor Winston!! I guess it's good they took him somewhere where he was safe, but uh-it's like Doggie prison!!
Again, I'm so glad they are both ok!
