Re: weekend recap?
ours went well. Friday we went to dinner at a friends house, they are always running rediculously late so dinner was served 2 hours after we arrived and their 7 year old girls entertained us while our friends were in the kitchen. It was a wee bit awkward! saturday we picked up a christmas tree and then realized we had to hunt down a stand. Bad idea...almost everwhere was sold out and we ended up with a broken one which will be returned after Xmas, as our tree is leaning at a 45degree angle. We have friend over fro dinner, it was casual and fun
It was good and much slower paced than the last few weekends have been. Friday was my company's holiday party, which was really fun, but a long day. The lunch reception started at 11 and I left the after party at 8:30 My husband was nice enough to pick me up from that event on Friday night. It was a long day of drinking! Most people stayed out until at least 11. I'm not sure I would have made it that late.
On Saturday my husband had to work, so I spent the day doing some regular errands and Christmas shopping. I also spent a few hours at my parents house. Sunday was really lowkey and we just hung out at home while I finished the weekend laundry. My husband seems to be coming down with a cold so we tried to not do too much. I think we succeeded.
We were home alone and it was blissful.
I got the house clean and organized and we sat down with next year's calendar and booked some trips (thank goodness for miles!)
We watched a lot of football on Sunday and the crockpot did it's thing. It was a great weekend.
