Shocking/awful story

I saw this posted on my birth board.  I cannot imagine what this mom is going through!!!  Many thoughts and prayers to this little boy:  http://ourordinarylifeextraordinary.blogspot.com/2011/12/tragedy.html

Update: looks like she had to take down the post -  http://ourordinarylifeextraordinary.blogspot.com/2011/12/what-happened-to-my-posts.html

Here is an article about the accident:  http://www.wtae.com/r/30013728/detail.html

Re: Shocking/awful story

  • What an awful story. It is a miracle that the baby wasn't completely crushed though. Hoping his recovery isn't too bad and the the effects don't last so that he has no memory of this horrible incident.

I hope someone gives an update on what that truck driver gets. Seriously... he obviously wasn't paying attention.

  • How awful! Such a strange freak accident. Poor little boy... I did see this update posted yesterday: http://ourordinarylifeextraordinary.blogspot.com/2011/12/december-18th-update-on-sly.html

  • Oh my gosh, I'm seriously in tears reading that.  How awful, yet amazing that the baby is making such a good recovery.

  • Oh no.. I can't even begin to imagine! Sad

This is one big reason that I always stand way back from the edge of the curb when waiting for the signal.

  • Oh my god. Reading that made me sick to my stomach, that poor poor little boy!

I can't imagine how the parents feel. They will remember this forever, luckily the baby is young enough that he probably won't.

I also can't help but wonder how the truck driver feels. Horrible I'm sure.

  • Goodness that had me in tears!  Poor Baby!!  I can't even imagine what I would have done in that position but the Mom seemed to do the best she could during the situation.  As far as the truck driver, I'm sure he feels awful.  Seeing as E drives those trucks, I hear about how hard certain turns are and how difficult they can be.
