I would love to adopt this dog!!

I can't do it but oh how I want too! We already have to do so much planning to go on a vacation so Lucci (our dog) can go. But if you know of anyone who wants a dog....send this one to them!

Re: I would love to adopt this dog!!

  • The thought of you having another dog makes me want to shake you.  Hard.

LOL! I will not be adopting another dog for quite some time!  But, I would love to find a great home for this one! He won my heart, with his nose and paw under the fence, just looking out. Ugh!

Do I even want to know what this is about?

  • SCJB has the most codependent dog on the planet.  She was not very good at establishing boundaries with her pooch apparently.

Out of curiosity, why do you say this?  Maybe I am missing something.......

Is it because she said she wanted to take her dog on vacation with her?  Surely there must be more that you are aware of that I am not.

  • Maybe she DOES want to take her dog on vacation with her, but she CAN'T leave without the dog.  The dog has severe separation anxiety, from what I can tell via thenest, and I'm surprised if SC even goes to the bathroom or showers without her dog.

Ok, got it, the dog has separation anxiety but how do it you know the reason for this is because she failed to establish boundaries?  How do you know that dog wasn't abused by it's prior owners which caused his/her separation issues?  From what I have seen/read from the nest I can't make an assumption one way or the other.

Your first post struck me as a tad judgmental.  But then again, I got pooped on multiple times last night by a sick baby so maybe my lack of sleep is causing me to be overly sensitive.

  • Oh, I guarantee you that my first post WAS judgmental.  We haven't met, have we?

Oh no, believe me, I know you are judgmental.  Rest assured, that was never in question.

But you still haven't answered how you don't know the dog was abused by it's prior owners which in turn caused it separation anxiety.

All I am saying is I think it's a little premature for you to pass judgment when you clearly don't know what the dog's history is.....

  • I don't know that, Kathy, but I can still judge all I like for the ridiculousness that goes on with SC and her dog.  I guess we'll have to wait to see if SC's dog was indeed abused or simply neurotic/conditioned to be that way.

FWIW, I had a nutso (but NOT ABUSED) dog that had severe anxiety issues.  With some training and short-term meds, she's fine.  Took about 4 months to get her straightened out.

If only the rest of us had it all figured out like you Nicole :P

    Kidding, kidding.

I couldn't resist.  Ok, I'll give it a rest now, LOL.
