? about house rentals
Is the norm for the renter to pay the deposit and first months rent up front? Or is first months rent due after living there a month? Thanks!

When we rented we paid our fist month's rent plus a deposit(which equalled one months's rent).
ETA: And yes it was upfront, though we worked it out to pay the deposit in two equal chunks with the first and second month's rent. Make sense?
