This is NOT a hill to die on
I have been really sick since last Thursday or Friday with a horrible sinus infection. I generally feel like crap and have no appetite. Our silly thermometer broke and I was curious about my temperature so I sent DH to buy a new one. I finally have a tiny appetite so I asked him to please get crackers. He came home and said he couldn't get crackers. (At Walmart, really?) I get that it is insanely busy with Christmas so close, but did he really have to come home with no crackers? I was irrationally upset that he didn't stop somewhere else. I can't even explain it. Something about FINALLY having an appetite for that one thing and then not having it. I am over it now really. I think I am just a bitchy sick person or something! So, this post didn't come out funny like I wanted it to. Oh well. It is dead in here!
Re: This is NOT a hill to die on
Did you convey to him that the crackers were really important? Or did you only realize they were really important once he came home without them?
I do the latter to DH sometimes, before I catch myself and realize I'm not really being fair because I kind of moved the goalposts on how important the request was.
I would have thrown him down the stairs. No really it seems surprising he didnt try to find crackers anywhere else. and really he couldnt find crackers at walmart? that seems kind of outrageous.
Sorry, I hope you feel better soon.
