Hey ladies,
DH might move us to Bowling Green and I am looking into places to rent, schools, and preschools in the area. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best schools and preschools? Our DD will be in 1st grade and our DS just turned 3. Here in Bloomington he would be entering the 3 year old preschool at a private Lutheran school. In my early research of Bowling Green it seemed like preschools didn't take kids until they were 4, is this true? I am a SAHM so I don't need a full out daycare, just two days a week. We are looking to rent a house so if you know of a great site pass it on. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Mary
Re: Bowling Green Questions
In KY, for public school preschools, the child has to either be accepted on low-income status, or have some sort of 'disability' (like speech, motor skills, adaptive, etc.) that they qualify under. I'm not really sure about private preschools, but I would think that they'd take them at age 3. Don't quote me on that, though. And you'll probably find most private preschools are done through churches. Welcome to the Bible belt!
I'm not so sure about the rental properties, but since it's a college town there should be lots of spaces available. Houses maybe less so than apartments, but I'd bet the further away you get from campus, the nicer the houses will get. If you find any good listings, let me know, because we're really entertaining moving to the BG, too. Good luck with it!
