So H and I agreed we would "keep it small" regarding Christmas this year...
Earlier in the month I contemplated getting him a new camera for Christmas and ran some ideas past his dad, who is a huge camera buff. The kind he would want is out of our price range.
So now, I have: 2 Tickets to the Blue Man Group in June, Xbox Charger base, year subscription to This Old House Magazine, and some new boxers.
Then FIL calls and says he found a nice camera we could afford - approx $200. I'm tempted to get it because H would like it, but I also worry that he would then feel like crap because he kept it small and I went overboard. He's reiterated a few times lately that we're keeping it small, right?
So you tell me - that would be overboard, right?
Re: Keeping it small
I was going to suggest you hold off on the camera. But ya decided on your own to do that. Seems like a good call especially if your "keeping it small" this year. You can always get the camera for him for his bday or another holiday. Just keep your eye out and see if it goes on sale.
Ditto this.
Ohh...it is on sale which is one reason I was itching to get it. This is a good idea - he won't feel outdone for Christmas but I can hold on to it til then. Thanks!!
