Longboat Key FL
Looks like we'll be going to Longboat Key with our kids for spring break. Any suggestions for restaurants, activities, things to do? I have an 8,7 and 2 year old and while they love the beach and pool they do need a few other things to do.
We've been to Anna Maria Island before but have never ventured down to Longboat Key so I'm pretty unfamiliar with the area.
Re: Longboat Key FL
St. Armands Circle, on Lido Key just south of Longboat, is fun to get dinner or lunch and then walk around to see the shops and stop for ice cream at Kilwin's. Cha-Cha Coconuts is touristy but kid-friendly and pretty tasty.
Other suggestions include Jungle Gardens, Mote Marine, lunch/dinner at The Old Salty Dog on City Island, a day at the public beach down on Siesta Key (and then browse the shops in the Village).
My son enjoyed Mote Aquarium- otherwise, we just spent lots of time on the beach.
