Restaurant help in Winter Park

Hi ladies!

I'm trying to plan an employee retreat.  I can get a good price on a room at Rollins College, and I'm looking at Glaze under Fire for the afternoon activity.  I need help with finding a reasonably priced place for lunch which offers table service for 20 in the area.

 Any suggestions?

TIA

Liz

Re: Restaurant help in Winter Park

  • Dexter's in Hannibal Square would definitely be a good option. Maybe Urban Flats, too, but I'm not sure about their capability to handle groups.

    Have fun planning!

  • Maybe Hot Olives?  It's also in Hannibal Square in WP.
  • Pannullo's on Park Ave is good for a group.

I'd also suggest the Winter Park Boat Tour for the afternoon activity.

What price did you get for the room at Rollins?

  • Oh, and you'll be pretty close to Winter Park Village, too. I like the idea of doing more of a local restaurant, but if you don't mind going with a chain, then Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Chang's or Brio would all be dependable options.
  • Glaze Under Fire in Winter Park closed. (They didn't or couldn't pay their rent) Maybe it is open now, but a week or two ago a party was cancelled and people had to go to All Fired Up.

    Just a heads up.

  • Thanks!  I think that is what I meantSmile  Which ever is located on Fairbanks..
  • I had an awful experience with Hot Olives so I would rather starve than give them more $, but thanks for the suggestion.  I'll check with Dexters to see if they can accommodate a large group.

  • I think it was a couple hundred dollars.  I have to check.
  • I'm jumping on here a little late, but just wanted to share another option.  I work at Rollins.  I'm not sure if you're dead set on going off campus for lunch, but Sedexo (our food service provider) does a great job with catering.  The catering division isn't designed to be money making for the college (the dining hall and meal plan are their money makers), so they are actually very reasonably priced.  Might be something to consider - the ladies in Events Scheduling can help you with getting in touch with Catering.

When we go off campus with large groups we usually go to Cheesecake Factory, Bucca (on 17-92) or Pannulos on Park Ave (they have done a great job with our holiday parties in the past).

     Good luck!
