Good Morning!

Happy Saturday and hapE Christmas Eve. Do you ever wake up with the feeling that it is going to be a wonderful day? I get this feeling every now and then and am usually spot on! So, just so you know, it will be a good day today :) Also, congrats to all of the new  mommies on our board!

QOTD: Do you believe in premonitions? A grain of truth in dreams? Any 6th sense type thing?

Re: Good Morning!

  • Happy Christmas Eve to you too!

We both work tomorrow, but have Boxing Day off, so that's our big celebration day.

Right now I have a chicken in the oven and we'll have that with greek spinach and rice.  the 25th will be stuffed gape leaves (the Iranian version) and Peruvian garlic Rice with Avgolemono sauce.  And our Christmas dinner will be a Rib eye steaks.  H wanted a "big thick juicy steak" so he's getting the bone in version.  We'll also be having a veggie and potatos roasted with goose fat.

    QOTD:  Absolutely.

  • I am all excited about a good day today.  We are just being lazy really today, because we have all our stuff done.  Maybe we will go for a walk or something.

QOTD:  Yep, sure do.  Seen it happen on more than one occasion.

  • Merry Christmas to one and all!

QOTD: I have personally never had a premonition, although I would never say that others haven't. My 6th sense is completely undeveloped. I do, however, often dream of loved ones that have passed away as if they are still alive and I like to think it is their way of communicating with me that they are ok. Of course, it could just be my own subconscious telling me I miss them.

  • We're back in the States with my fianc?'s family.  I think we're going to try to go to BB&B and start our wedding registry today (christmas eve, I know....but we're going to go super-early right when they open and at least give it a try), then do dinner and presents with his family tonight.

QUOTD:  The only premonition I've ever had was before anyone knew my sister was pregnant, I had a dream that she gave birth to a boy.  Sure enough, a few weeks later she announced her pregnancy, and then it turned out it was a boy.   But that could have just been luck:-)

  • Merry Christmas!

We're going out soon to show my brother some nearby villages then tonight to a Christmas dinner at a family friend's home. I'm  so excited for xmas and can't wait till tomorrow morning!

Monday we are going to Carcassonne and then onto Barcelona!

    QOTD: yes I do.

  • Merry Christmas Eve! Awesome that you woke up just knowing today would be great.

We had an interesting start to the day with having to get BabyGirl to the hospital for some scheduled blood work. Except between DH and I we forgot the paperwork, which we discovered after parking at the hospital. We split up with DH taking the kids to the atrium to get BabyD a muffin, me going home to get the forgotten paperwork. Get back to the hospital and DH had no dinars, and the hospital atm only took a single local banks card, so hadn't gotten anything to eat. I get there with a whopping 4 dinars on me but enough to keep BabyD distracted while I took the little girl to get her blood drawn (booo!). At the time I had a mini moment, but now I'm choosing to look at the situation as comical.

The rest of the day has been good. We had to get some things done on base and in between those we had a coffee break, lunch, and ran into some friends. Now some chilling time at home. After the BabyD goes to bed I'll wrap the last couple gifts and prep some cinnamon rolls for breakfast.

QOTD: I'd say I believe in a grain of truth. Amazing how the mind can process and even without specifics can produce a conclusion or "feeling". Like DH had a weird dream on Monday night that we went in for our appointment on Tuesday and they didn't let me leave because we were having the baby. Besides that he didn't really sleep. Tuesday we had our appointment but were told to come back that night prepared to check in, and I was duly admited that night.

  • Morning! Faye, you've been up to a lot considering you have a tiny baby now. Good for you!

H and I went to our Christmas panto yesterday. It was hilarious. We had a great time. Today we've been relaxing, watching movies, doing a bit (but only a little!) around the house, and I'm going to make a Dominican meal tonight.
