I have two potted herb plants (basil and parsley) and they have been doing really well. I have enough that I would like to harvest and dry them, but I know absolutely nothing about where to put them or how exactly to harvest them. Can I just clip them wash them and then hang them up in my kitchen out of the way to let them dry? Does it have to be dark? I have a spot above a window that doesn't get much if any sun, would that be ok to dry them?

I am newbie to this forum. I totally agree with CDMay, what she suggested was really nice.
My wedding is on next month, so for that I am planning to give my house for services in order to decorate it perfectly... and my gusts must not feel inconvenient.
Do you have any references that I can follow up?
Any kind of suggestions would be greatly appreciated... Thanks in advance.
