Re: 14 weeks pg and no HB :(
Thank you everyone for the thoughtful words. They mean a lot especially since I have been on an emotional roller coaster over the last 24 hours.
I FINALLY found a doctor in Orlando who would take me since I am a new patient 1/3 of the way through my pregnancy. This doctor is wonderful, she saw me immediately and spent a lot of time with me and my H going over our options. I had another US this morning and it was indeed confirmed that the baby stopped growing yesterday. There was no heartbeat
I have decided to have a D&C even though it will be tough on my body being almost 14 weeks along. Unfortunately the OR can't schedule my surgery until next Tuesday so I have a week in limbo. I am hoping my body doesn't naturally miscarry before then since I think it will be rather traumatic. I am far enough along that the fetus will look like a baby rather than tissue and I just don't think I am prepared to deal with that. I would much rather be put to sleep and wake up with everything taken care of.
I am doing ok emotionally except for a few moments of weepiness. Physically I am a little crampy but nothing unmanageable and I have yet to start bleeding. Fingers crossed that my body will hold out until next Tuesday.
