I love the holidays but...

I will be glad when the festivities are over and life calms down a bit.

I have this week off from work and I am trying to get caught up on everything so that I can go into the new year organized and sane :)

Re: I love the holidays but...

  • I agree.  I love the time off from work, but somehow, it isn't relaxing.  The holiday time is so fast-paced and rushy; bopping from one get-together to the next.

I am very much looking forward to the New Year and getting back into my normal routine again!

  • I know, now that the gifts are opened and the carols are off the radio, I so want to put everything away and get my house back in order.
  • I think year after year a little part of me starts not liking them as much though.  More work is needed for them and with the hassle, you need a break!! I am very glad they over and don't have to deal with them until next year at this time.

  • It's all the decorating, baking, shopping, wrapping, dinner-gatherings etc. that keeps me from "finding time" to go to the gym and do my every day stuff.  I love the holiday season but I am also happy to get back to my regularly scheduled life.

  • I agree.  Sometimes it is hard to get back into the groove of things and holdiays tend to land at the busiest times too.  Be thankful for the fmaily and friends you have that want to spend the time with you and enjoy the new year.  Organize later...you owe yourself a free day.
  • Very true! Even that one holiday in a week isn?t relaxing. It?s so frustrating.
  • Well, that's strange! You waits for festive season to get over! Then may be you are not enjoying those precious moments which most of us eagerly waits for. Don't be so much workaholic. Well, you really needs a resolution of planning holidays each and every month of this year.
  • Yeah,Everybody waits for the holidays and want to enjoy those precious moments. And those moments are too relaxing, too enjoyable and lovable. If,you are spending those moments with your family, then it's fantastic and unforgettable.

Really its very strange that you don't enjoy holidays, Everyone wants some relax from their work so that they can enjoy with their family and friends. Well, work is important but holidays are also important. I love my holidays and enjoy in a memorable way.
