We are supposed to get weather in the 50s this week (yeah, in Nebraska. In December. We're all freaking out.), and I wanted to paint my peg board (have you heard enough about my peg board yet???) while I could outside. My question is, would putting a poly coat on at the end be worth it? Planning on priming it, and the paint I have is a decent paint (though not the best), but I'm just debating on if it would be worth my time to poly it at the end. LMK what you think?

Re: Another peg board ?
What kind of paint will you be using?
If you are using an enamel, oil or latex/acrylic, it really won't need a topcoat. If you are using latex, you will have to wait much longer than you think to let it cure fully before top coating, or it will never dry fully and will be slightly sticky forever....the mistake most commonly made. Dry to the touch and fully dry/fully cured are not the same thing.
