T&P please

I had a doctor's appointment this morning and figured it was just going to be routine.  Instead, I found out that the baby is measuring small and my blood pressure is high   I think my urine must have tested positive for protein too, because they made me leave another sterile sample to send to the lab.  I also had to have a bunch of blood taken.

We have a growth ultrasound tomorrow to see how big the baby is, and I have a follow up with the doctor on Friday to check my BP and review my labs and ultrasound.  I'm super worried about pre-e now though!  Both of my aunts had it and had really bad complications.  I've been having headaches, nausea, and a couple other signs of pre-e, but I didn't think it was anything until I started consulting Dr. Google (DH has now banned me from looking at anything more).  The doctor wanted to put me on bed rest this week, but I need to work through next Tuesday at least so my new insurance kicks in.  He's allowing me to go to work, but nothing else.  Hopefully everything turns out to be nothing, but I would appreciate any spare T&P!

Sending lots of T&P's your way! I am sorry that you are having to go through this. Please do yourself a favor though and stay away from Dr. Google. It will drive you insane. I hope everything works out for you. I had protein in my urine throughout my whole pregnancy and my doctor didn't seem alarmed by it.

ok, I'm truly not trying to freak you out but this is exactly what happened to me.  and unfortunately, it was pre-e and developed into HELLP syndrome.  Olivia was growth restricted because the pre-e/hellp affects your placenta. Also, I checked your ticker and I'm happy to see that you are almost 36 weeks. One of many things I learned in the NICU is that  gestational age is more important than birth weight.  please keep us updated.

I could have written this post back when I was pregnant with MacKenzie (minus the insurance part) and I was right about the same weekage as you.  Just make sure you stay off your feet as much as possible and stay away from any food that might raise your blood pressure (that was the advice my doctors gave me).  My blood pressure really spiked and I was induced at 38 weeks.  MacKenzie was a little girl, but everything was fine.  Good luck and thoughts and prayers going your way.

T&Ps to your and your baby.  A coworker had pre-e and her daughter turned out fine I know it can be nerve-wracking until you can hold them in your arms.  I noticed that my BP was higher when I was worried about every little thing going on with my pregnancy and once I finally relaxed not only did my BP go down but I felt better overall about everything.  So definitely stay away from Dr. Google.  If anything, it is making your situation worse.
