H is currently on the phone with his best friend trying to convince him not to bring his ill-behaved Great Dane over tonight when he comes.

A Great Dane could probably do a lot of damage, huh?  Our dogs aren't really trained the best, to be honest.  (I blame the husky in them. They're super smart, but also super stubborn).  But, we also don't take them over to anyone else's house ever.

This dog likes to jump, and he weighs as much as I do.  I'm not his fan.

The only place we'll take our dogs is to my parents' house or the ILs.  Even then, we only take 1 at a time.  And I really doubt we'd take a dog as large as a great dane to anyone's home unless the dog were SUPER well-trained.

Knowing that this dog would be in our lives, we offered to pay for training classes for him and H's best friend.  Best friend wouldn't commit to taking him to classes every week, so no training for the dog.  

So, he's certainly not well trained.   

We'd take Emma somewhere (and have) if the people said "Bring Emma too!" and we knew they were serious.

I'm at work, been here since 9:30, I'll be here till 8.  Since FI is up north I figured I'd work a long day today and tomorrow to try and get some hours. It's been so busy.  I want to go home.

I'm sorry about those of you who don't feel well.   Get better!

I am at work today and it is clear I don't have to be since it is slow but at last I still have to come. We are really slow this time of year and I think it would make more sense for us to be closed than opened.

 Just notice while I was typing that given the slowness of this week people think it is ok to come to work in pratically PJs. Come one throw on some jeans at least.

I'm still at work.  H and I both have colds and my throat is on fire but we're so short staffed this week that I'd feel guilty going home or calling in sick tomorrow. 

H is cooking steak for dinner and we're going to watch Apallo 18.  I cannot freakin wait to go home.

One time, a guy called in to my work and asked if he could bring his Great Dane puppy into the store. We allow dogs into the store as long as they are leashed, well-behaved, don't bit or nip, and don't poop on the floor, so I said sure. I knew Great Danes are huge, but I thought for a puppy, it would be small enough. The dog's head came up almost to my shoulder. It was 8 months old. Adorable, though.

 I just got off of work, and have to go back tomorrow on what was supposed to be my day off. On the upside, it will be a half day, so that means I'll have a half day on Thursday, too (they are VERY tight on when they will allow overtime).

I'm sick, too! You got me sick. It was all that kissing. 

I've had crazy fever all day (highest I checked was at 102.4) and I'm just now breaking it only a little bit. I haven't moved from the couch all day. And, Cartoon Network does old-school Looney Tunes so that's what I watched all day.

Question for everyone.  I have a (new) gas range and the grates on top are cast iron.  What kind of pots/pans should I get?? I currently have some Rachael Ray ones that are orange.  Although they're super duper cute, they are destroying my range (the paint is chipping/rubbing off onto the grates.)  Likewise, the pots and pans are completely ruined.  I'm thinking the gas is too hot?? I've had the pans for 3 years with no issues on our electric stove.

 Nothing much happening tonight, just sitting on the couch with H and watching TV. I'm in NC visiting my dad and stepmom, so it's a nice change. We shopped most of the afternoon...now I'm sleepy.

We watch it whenever its on TV (adam has never seen the whole series, just bits and pieces) but they never go in order. We are watching it tonight on tv and its skipping like 10 episodes at a time. God I love this show.
