Hi everyone...
My husband and are are looking to take a trip this fall. We've gone to Vegas a lot and love it because there is a ton to do and it's also really low-maintenance -- everything is in walking distance so no need to rent a car, etc. Other than that we haven't really traveled much but would like to go on one last big trip before starting a family. Do you have any suggestions as to where to go? We're pretty open to suggestions. We would prefer to go somewhere where we wouldn't necessarily have to rent a car.
TIA!
Re: Trip suggestions?
San Francisco is one of our faves. So many things to do and see, and no car necessary.
Washington DC is another no-car-needed place to go.
Where are you flying from, what is your budget, when are you going, and for how many days? Do you want sightseeing, art, history, good food, beer, wine, beaches, nightlife? US or international?
New Orleans, San Fran, NYC, Chicago, Denver, Portland, Seattle, DC, etc, etc are all great US destinations where you won't need a car.
Flying from Omaha, probably for 4-5 days. We are pretty open as far as what to do, too! We just want to have fun. The only places we've ever traveled together are Vegas and Myrtle Beach, SC. I'm a foodie but DH tends to be a bit intimidated by fancy restaurants. Delicious restaurants that aren't too intimidating would be good. We love dining out. DH loves beer, I tolerate it. I prefer wine, which he hates. Probably wouldn't go on a trip strictly for the art/history factor.
SF is the perfect place for you then.
Those cities pretty much the above. I personally love New Orleans and NYC. DC is great too, but I am also super biased because I grew up and now live around there.
