I agree with moosie... cancer SUCKS.

My mom has been having back problems lately from what we all thought (and were told by doctors) was a pulled muscle from lifting a computer server.

She went into physical therapy for 8 weeks.  At her appt two weeks ago, she became numb in her legs and went to the ER.  Turns out she had a tumor pressing on her spine, which had caused a disk to rupture.

She's been in remission from breast cancer for 22 years.  Now it's back.

They were able to remove the tumor, thank God.  She also had rods and a cage put into her spine to help support where the tumor ate away the disk.  She will have to go through radiation for sure, and most likely chemo.  The silver lining is that she is recovering from surgery beautifully and is amazing the doctors with her progress.  She is scared of the cancer, obviously, but she has been through chemo before, so she knows what to expect.

She will be recovering with my grandparents here close to me, since my Dad has back problems as well (go figure) and cannot take care of her alone when she is released.

Any good thoughts/prayers you have to spare would be so greatly appreciated.  Thanks for listening.
