We took our extra dog food to DFL earlier today to donate it. We got there right as adoption hours started and I figured it would be a good way to entertain N for free for at least 30 minutes so we went to see the animals. They had a 4 month old Boston terrier boy who rushed the glass at Niko and started licking the glass like crazy in an attempt to play with him. It was clearly mutual love at first sight and N started begging me to please take him home. And then I started bawling big, fat, snotty tears right then and there because I desperately wanted to adopt him but just can't take on a second dog right now.

Re: It's all WineCat's fault
I know exactly how you feel! We went to Petco about 5 years ago to buy food for our German Shep, Duncan. Well of course they had the adoptions going on...and we fell in love with a lab/Aussie mix.....and we took her home with us! We had no willpower to say no to her sweet charms. lol!
I'm sure somebody will adopt her and give her a good home! We were lucky and had a house and nice yard so we were able to bring home a 2nd dog, even though we had no plans to!
Note to self: Stay out of the shelters and pet adoptions....or I will end up with a 3rd dog....
