I am sitting here watching Property Brothers for the first time and I am really annoyed by how they show you things 3x your budget.  However, I do love Income Property.

Love me some Holmes on homes but those property brothers bug.  They don't even renovated the whole house, just a couple rooms and most of those places need full renovations.

The property brothers bug me too. I love income property, and the contractor Holmes uses a lot is pretty cute.

Don't worry Dawg, I'm with you on the Holmes love.  My husband and I can watch that show now stop.  It boggles me the stuff he turns up.

I also love Property Brothers and Income Property, although I agree that as a house hunter I would be annoyed with being shown an awesome house way out of my budget.  That said, most of those people are out of their damn minds and need a harsh reality check.

For real. That is the only reason I like that show. I love it when the buyer is all, "We need a master suite, balcony, walk-in closet, big back yard, open concept and gourmet kitchen. Our budget it $200,000." I want to slap them. Then, when they see the crap houses, they're freak out: "Omg, the paint colors suck." And they ignore the obvious problems of structural issues and major electrical problems because they "don't want their offer ignored", so they don't get a home inspection. They must find every idiot in Canada to be on that show.

Seriously though, I like to laugh at that too when clearly they are out of their minds with demands relative to their budget.

I love the "Why did he show us this house???" foot stomping followed by buying a $2,000 faucet and crying about the budget. I don't know how Highlights Brother doesn't smack a biitch.

Me too. I love Mike Holmes - he seems like such a good guy. I'm okay with the other shows of that genre, but I always get annoyed when the Property Brothers bring their family/couple to the "house out of their pricerange" and the couple's all "why did you bring us here when it's too expensive for us?" And I hate the greediness I see there occasionally, too.

I love all these shows. I love the income property guy. Holmes is awesome. The property brothers don't bother me and I really like the show. I like seeing people get a reality check. Some of the people are super annoying though.
